Senior PC/LAN Specialist
Provide Technical Project Management and assist in the administration of the Individual Insurance Group's Customer Support Organization Call Centers' Local Area Networks. These environments include about 15 MS Windows NT servers and 3,500 clients. Analyze current LAN configurations; plan, design, recommend and assist in the implementation of enhancements to the current environment and new LAN related technology. Major accomplishments include planning, designing and assisting in the implementation of Compaq's Server Recovery Option servers; planning and assisting in the migration of existing servers from a Token Ring network to a Fast Ethernet network; re-structuring of the current server replication strategy as well as the current server load balancing strategy; planning and assisting in the migration to Windows NT 4.0. Tasks included design of new servers and design of a new replication strategy for the new environment.
